Justin first started playing music at the age of 5, with the violin. When he was 6, he picked up drums and continued learning both instruments into his early teens, playing both instruments in various shows. He decided to stop the violin in 2014 when he realised he was far more interested in playing drums, but his years on the violin allowed him to develop a very sharp musical ear.
Since focusing on drums, Justin has perfected his craft and played on many stages, including the JazzFest des Jeunes, the Montreal International Jazz Festival and various bars and shows. He currently plays for the Jazz Band de l’Ouest de l’Île de Montréal and with the folk Québec based band Patriote, with whom he is recording their first album.
Justin studied music throughout high school, specializing in jazz. In 2019, he attended Saint-Laurent Cegep where he developped his repertoire to include pop, rock, latin and various other styles of music. He also has extensive knowledge and experience with recording in a studio and playing on stage.
